Happy New Year 2021 Has Arrived
Resolutions or Solutions
January 5, 2021
Happy New Year !!!!
I wish you and your family and loved ones the best in the months ahead. As we bid one of the worst years of the 21st century farewell and good riddens let us not forget that this nasty pandemic Covid 19 still lingers with us and has morphed into a 70% transference rate where more people are susceptible to contracting it than when it was first announced to be the menance that it is. In a nutshell it ain't over until its over and in my personal opinion neither vaccine looks too promising at this point currently there are three vaccines please research them. And continue to follow safety guidelines wash your hands often stay lysol and microbaned up and quarantine yourselves as much as possible just stay inside the entire WORLD should still be under quarantine. I'm gonna stop here with this topic because something ain't right and I will leave it at that.
I do not do resolutions, I stopped torchering myself by making them many years ago because I kept breaking them. Resolutions are good for many people and many people are able to follow through and complete their objectives. Which is wonderful but me on the other hand found that when I sought solutions to whatever it was I sought to resolve things worked out faster and better for me. Let me keep it real with you, I was stuck in transition from the holidays and my brothers passing the cherriness of Christmas shoppers and celebrations that I half wittily attended family functions on zoom all hell had broken lose in my spirit grief tried to take a toll on me like nothing graduate school prepares you for but as my big brother says baby girl just do you. I eventually snapped backed to my joyful self but honestly, I did not know what topic to write about today other than something encouraging since I am a counselor/coach that almost sounded korny but I thought that's me in a nutshell oh snap here is my word of the day NUTSHELL...seriously, I've always been an encouragement to others its my thing to help bring out the best in others. Thus today's blog title. So, I am going to share some successful goal setting tips that I have used on New Years to set the stage for successfully creating solutions.
Setting Goals for Success: 5 Tips to Define Clear Goals
Whether you want to set goals for your business or your personal life, defining clear, concise goals is very important. Without clear goals you can end up confused about what you want to achieve, and you may be putting yourself on the path to stagnation. Clear goals can give you tremendous momentum and intense purpose in your life.
Here are five important tips to help you to define clear goals in your life:
1.Understand what you want to achieve. In order to define clear goals, your first step is to determine exactly what you want to achieve. If you don't know where you're going, you can't figure out a route to get there.
Once you know where you want to be and what you want to achieve, you'll be able to come up with the goals that will help you get there.
2.Determine a timeline. Setting timelines will prevent procrastination and spur you on to action to meet your goals. Having a timeline for your goals also helps to clarify them because now you know what you want and when you want it!
Come up with goals that you want to meet in a month, year, and even five or ten years from now.
Make a plan that will keep you on track; however, don't etch your plan in stone! Allow for changes along the way, but keep your eye on the main goal.
3.Ensure your goals are realistic. With realistic goals, you can almost guarantee that you'll be able to achieve them, and you won't stress yourself out trying to accomplish something that's out of reach. A clear goal is a realistic one.
Break your long-term goals into small, achievable action steps. Reaching multiple goals along your journey will give you a feeling of accomplishment and motivate you to continue.
4.Be specific. Clarify your goals with the details of exactly what you want. Avoid vague generalities. When you make a specific goal, you'll be better able to accomplish it.
Specific goals allow you to form your timeline and define your action steps. There's no guesswork involved when dealing with specifics.
For example, "make more money with your business" is a vague goal. Come up with a specific goal, such as, "I will make $1,000 more per month, three months from today." This goal is specific, measurable, and realistic.
5.Refine your goals. Your goals may change as your life changes. During this process, you'll be able to make them more specific, realistic, and achievable.
It's okay to refine your goals several times in your life! What's important now, might not be important to you six months or six years from now. Be willing to accept change. Revisit your goals from time to time and make new plans if necessary.
Some people flounder through life, unsure of their purpose or what they want to achieve. Don't let this be you! Your life will have clear meaning if you put some thought into what's important to you, what goals you want to achieve, and what actions to take to make your dreams a reality.
It has been a pleasure writing for you I hope you enjoyed reading this post. Take time and enjoy the small things in life they really do matter. Let me know your thoughts. I appreciate your time and feedback. Blessings. Min Jacque
TAPPING INTO YOUR INTUITION
May 2021
Peace, I hope all is well with you and your loved ones, It has been a while since we have gotten a chance to hang out and read together, I must fess up that I have been on a journey myself and a good one I must admit. I don't remember mentioning to you all that I was in the market for a new place to call home and during that process, I ended up exhausted from my workload which includes spiritual counseling, mental health coaching, and life coaching to name a few jobs that are apart of my daily round. To add more fuel to my fire, I was also in the process of consulting with colleagues about the show Awakening the show's content, style and informing viewers what it's about in regards to discussing consciousness and awakening to a higher spiritual level of consciousness. By the way, Awakenings airs on Youtube and it is podcasted anyway, I was able to work on the first episode which in my opinion is a superb introduction into the realm of awakening to higher levels of consciousness, unfortunately, after the first show was loaded onto the various social media outlets, I had to postpone my availability to consult about the content of the show, etc. it was disheartening for us but, I was able to find the perfect place to call home until I relocate to my home that I am buying next year YEAH!!!
During my journey of locating a transitory place to call home, I began to feel the pangs of frustration and the inability to focus on a single task so, I did what I do best when I become overwhelmed and that was to tap into my intuition to gain clarity and a higher level of awareness to help me sort out the feelings that I was experiencing because there is always another side of the story of life. What, I discovered was amazing and insightful and I learned how to navigate the process of home buying and finding the right fit for my transition with ease and cosmic flow by tapping into my intuition. You may not be transitioning to a new home or looking to buy a house but, I am sure that learning how to tap into your tuition can be beneficial to you and your loved ones especially if you are interested in learning about raising your consciousness to a higher spiritually awakened state. So with that said, I have listed below some of the things that I learned just by tapping into my intuition. I share them with you in peace and love hoping they will benefit you as well, I also write the definition of intuition in case you need a refresher :).
Intuition is the reason that you know more than you think you know. Once you recognize how much of your mental activity takes place subconsciously, you can make better use of the knowledge and abilities you already possess.
These are strategies for finding a healthy balance between critical thinking and gut feelings.
Relying on Intuition in Your General Routine
1. Acknowledge the role of intuition. Cognitive science is giving more and more credit to the part our hunches play in our thoughts and behavior. You might mistakenly assume you're making rational decisions when you're really operating on autopilot. Just think of the times you've driven home out of habit while you were lost in thought about something else.
2. Challenge gender stereotypes. Even the experts are divided about whether women have stronger intuitions. Many studies suggest that women, in general, are more sensitive to emotional cues but individuals vary widely in their abilities.
3. Look for connections. Your intuitions are most reliable in the areas where you have the most experience and expertise. Study a situation in terms of its similarities to something you've handled before and look for ways to categorize it.
4. Train at making snap judgments. Gut feelings enable you to respond quickly when necessary. When the stakes are low, practice building up your confidence by deciding things quickly, like what to eat for dinner or which movie to see.
5. Nurture your sense of curiosity. Those who are curious about others are often the best judges of character. Experiment with putting yourself in someone else's shoes to understand the reasoning for their conduct.
6. Put your emotions into perspective. We often exaggerate how many external events will affect us. Whether you win the lottery or lose a bet, you'll probably soon return to being as happy as you ever were, so listen to your feelings without getting carried away.
7. Be realistic about your limitations. It's tempting to see what you want to see and overlook errors. Be disciplined about scrutinizing your actions and learning from mistakes.
Relying On Intuition In Specific Circumstances
1. Make friends and fall in love. Our first judgments about people are often reliable. You're likely to recognize the people who will enrich your life as long as you keep an open mind about seeing the good in everyone.
2. Know when to stay silent. For the sake of your relationships, it's often better to keep your hunches to yourself even when they're accurate. For example, your friend may not appreciate being reminded that her consumption of ice cream doubled after her divorce.
3. Take pleasure in major purchases. Pick out a house you'll enjoy living in rather than getting distracted by real estate trends. You're likely to feel more satisfied in the long run. On the other hand, listen to experts when you're making financial investments.
4. Evaluate your fears. Evolution makes us vulnerable to exaggerating fears that have immediate and vivid consequences rather than more probable but subtler consequences. Keep that in mind if you get more alarmed by killer bees than obesity.
5. Listen to your conscience. Most healthy adults usually distinguish right from wrong spontaneously. If you feel comfortable with your actions and at ease with people knowing about them, you're probably on the right track.
Go ahead and play your hunches as long as you also take the time to weigh the facts and test your conclusions.
Your gut feelings already play a big role in your relationships and decision-making, so becoming more conscious of the process will help you to make better use of your intuition.
I hope you enjoyed today's blog post please leave me any questions or comments related to intuition or any topic that I have discussed. I do appreciate your comments and will respond in a timely manner. Until the next post which will be soon... be safe and remember that you are what you think.

The Fall Equinox and Covid Care
The Most Wonderful Magical Time of The of The Year and Covid 19 Safety
Greetings, This is a catchy title and topic wouldn't you say? My favorite time of the year has finally arrived and I have been so happy. Let me tell you all about it. During the Fall Season we celebrate the The autumnal (fall) equinox that marks the turning point when darkness begins to win out over daylight. Essentially, our hours of daylight—the period of time each day between sunrise and sunset — have been growing slightly shorter each day since the summer solstice in June, which is the longest day of the year (at least in terms of daylight). Then, for the next three months, our hours of daylight will continue to grow shorter. At the autumnal equinox, day and night are approximately equal in length. The name ‘equinox’ comes from the Latin word aequus, meaning equal, and nox, meaning night. An equinox occurs twice a year (autumnal and vernal). Everywhere you look, you can see the visible changes as nature prepares for winter: birds are flying south, temperatures are getting cooler, leaves are changing colors, and animals’ coats are thickening, to name a few. Enjoy this beautiful magical time of year.
How does one, an individual, families, communities, schools, churches, cope and still remain sane during this Covid 19 pandimic? I think the solution is twofold half in solitary confinement and half in continuing to be socially active. What, I am saying is when you are alone ( solitary confinement) find constructive ways to make the best of your time by meditating on positive things that you want to bring into your life because although this virus is a very serious one and is taking a toll around the world it will be beat it will end we are endowed with some of the best seasoned professional medical professionals and scientists who have the intelligence and know how to create a vaccine that will be able to maintain this diseases spread and find a cure so during your Solitude moments think on positive uplifting things that will usher you into the person you want to be "As You Think So You Shall Be"you can also draw, paint, play solitaire, sing, dance, exercise, do yoga, go online and create your business plan, no matter what you do during this time make sure its positive. The social active component can be met in many different ways JUST REMEMBER to take the necessary CDC required precautions mask and gloves wear them please!!! visit a friend or family members as long as there aren't too many people around the least amount of people the best (most family members and best friends are still visiting in small groups) and you are not over doing the touching feeling aspect, I would suggest staying in compliance and keeping your gloves and masks on while gathering then have fun drink wine, eat food dance play games do what you do and enjoy the social interaction for a few hours clean yourselves with the right antibacterial cleansers then go to your perspective homes. This is just a suggestion if you try it let me know how it goes. Good luck!!!. Be Safe and always stay PEMS UP! Disclaimer PEMS Balance is not saying that this is a tried and true solution and does not claim that you will not or can't contract corona virus by being socially active these statements are solely suggestions of PEMS balance and are only for entertainment purposes they are not to be taken taken as medical or psychological treatment if you need medical or psychological treatment you should see your healthcare provider or seek a qualified practitioners advise therefore PEMS Balance will not be held responsible for anyone who decides to socially interact and as a result contracts corona virus.
The topic of my next blog is one that I will be discussing over a period of eight weeks and I will be doing a series of blog discussions about the Universal Laws. For those of you who are not familiar with the 7 Universal Laws I will give you a short synopsis of what the term Universal Laws mean to prepare you for the 8 week Universal Laws Study beginning the first week of November 2020. There are seven Universal Laws or Principles by which everything in the Universe is governed. The Universe exists in perfect harmony by virtue of these Laws. Ancient mystical, esoteric and secret teachings dating back over 5,000 years from Greece, Rome, India and Vedic and even older civilizations such as Ancient Egypt (Kemet) and Ancient African civilizations all have as their common thread these seven Spiritual Laws of the Universe. Once you understand, apply and align yourself with these Universal Laws, you will experience transformation in every area of your life beyond that which you have ever dared to imagine. The first of these Laws that I will be covering is the Law of Mentalism. I invite you to join with PEMS Balance as we explore our beginnings in The Universes 7 Laws November, 2020.
Being Authentically You
Our thoughts become reality what we think are a direct correlation to what we feel and and how we behave read further to gain a deeper understanding. Want to learn more ? Keep reading.
Fall has finally arrived and now is a good time for us to think about all of the things that we have allowed to hold us back or thwart us from being our Authentic Selves so that we can begin to clearly pursue who we are from the core and Metamorphosis into that Wonderful Authentic Divine Being who we or you really are . The Fall Season is the perfect time of year to begin a new tradition or ritual to help you achieve those milestones. On a side note with Covid 19 still being a transparent concern in our society one should proceed to seek their goals with this in mind not allowing the virus and social distancing stop them from setting short and long term tasks and goals that will help them reach the final outcomes.
For instance the Fall Solstice or Season is the opportune time in my opinion because you are able to see the natural flow of nature putting off Summers hot seasonal flow and changing into different hues of green, browns, reds, oranges and yellows which are all colors that are indicative of different foods that can be stored away for the winter, or you can begin cropping if you have the proper soil to grow food. It is also a season which allows us to witness natures ability to create, rebirth and bring forth life from that which was stagnant. Being Authentic or Being Your Divine Self is Balancing yourself to be who you are from the Core. Social Distancing has allowed many people to stop congregating outside and Mother Earth does not get a change to help us heal but when you pursue your Authentic Self you are not afraid to step outside and enjoy Gods earth, plants and his air. We learn to navigate this special magical season with trust because we know that balance is also in the season.
“Don't let the expectations and opinions of other people affect your decisions. It's your life, not theirs. Do what matters most to you; do what makes you feel alive and happy. Don't let the expectations and ideas of others limit who you are. If you let others tell you who you are, you are living their reality — not yours. There is more to life than pleasing people. There is much more to life than following others' prescribed path. There is so much more to life than what you experience right now. You need to decide who you are for yourself. Become a whole being. Adventure.”

Moving Forward During Times of Uncertainty
Hello, I hope all is well with you and your family and loved ones. As, I write this post there are many many things running through my mind the Winter Solstice is today I will write more about that later, my eldest brother passing away, the new strain of Covid 19 that was first reported this past Saturday on BBC news by Prime Minister Boris more about that later, many of my clients and friends have been asking me to give them ideas about how to stop the mental chatter in their minds but, my thoughts about my elder brother are speaking to me loudest so I will begin with him. My Dear Big Brother, I will try to say few words about my Brother James Jr. and I would like to share that I have recently had to watch my eldest brother transcend into the ancestral realm. But first I'd like to piggy back off of my last blog post where, I said just do you I really meant that and I still stand by those words. I remember how he (My Big Brother) used to tell me babygirl just do you as long as you and your family are going to be good and it makes you happy just do you. Let me do a background check for you here well a mini family one see over the years, I have attended schools to get certifications, and undergraduate and graduate degrees, specializations, open businesses, relationships, cars, houses you name it and no matter what my big brother was my go to if mom or dad weren't available. Why because, I knew he had my back and wanted nothing but the best for me. My big brother was the best of the best now I did not always feel this way in fact I felt at one point in my life that he was a bossy shadow hanging over me when ever I wanted to have fun I felt like this was when I was a kid right up into my teen years that was an annoying period and I tried my best to get away from him by any means necessary. The hope for me to see the good in our being siblings begin to shine upon us as, I began to mature and grow spiritually, I began to notice and understand how God had placed him in my life to show me yet another way that he (The Most High God) loves, cares and protects me no matter what. "The Love For You Big Brother James Will Never Grow Faint It Will Forever Shine Bright In My Heart"
Covid 19 is reported to have another strain reports BBC Prime Minister Boris this monster virus transfers as of Saturday at a rate of 70% with a 4 to 1 person being able to catch it. All I can say is be safe wear your masks and gloves. Make sure you are maintaing social distances and stay home.
Clutter Mind- I have had the pleasure of working with many people over the years helping them learn ways to decrease or stop overthinking or ruminating thoughts. It has been a pleasure working as an LPC in clinical settings and in private practice as a mental health coach and helping individuals conquer this annoying business of having a cluttered mind. I have learned some invaluable tools and techniques that's been beneficial to my clients for myself and my loved ones when needed. Now that I am a Spiritual Counselor/Mental Health Coach I can dig into my bag of experience goodies and help people eleviate all kinds physical emotional mental and spiritual concerns and most of the time it doesen't too much time at all. I am includding one of my suggestions on how to declutter your mind below it may come handy wth this holiday season and coming New Year. Read Enjoy Pass It Along.
Winter Solstice why... let me keep it real, I have never understood why this country still adheres to daylight savings time in the Winter well let me tell the truth, I just don't like it I mean getting dark at 5pm or 5:30pm just isnt right. On another note, I Love the Winter Solstice I no it may sound like an oxymoron but here me out. Although winter is my least favorite of all the seasons there are valuable spritual lessons to be learned during this time of the year. First lets cover the basics What exactly is a Solstice well...A solstice is an event that occurs when the Sun appears to reach its most northerly or southerly excursion relative to the celestial equator on the celestial sphere. Two solstices occur annually, around June 21 and December 21. What can be done to commemorate or celebrate the Winter Solstice why reader I am so glad you asked Even as this northern summer begins with the solstice, throughout the world the solstice also represents a “turning” of the year. To many cultures, the solstice can mean a limit or a culmination of something. From around the world, the sun is now setting and rising as far north as it ever does. So as we enter into our New Year many people do resolutions so today is the time to start pondering what your's will be for next year you can even get an earlier jump on this activity for 2022. So its time for you to get rid of the old and tidy up for the new. Get rid of the clutter and negative energy and invite the new positive wave of energy into your life. "Happy Solstice"
On To The Counseling and Coaching Experience Goodie Bag:😊
Below you will find some valuable tools and techniques that I usually attach to my website by pdf's but I felt like writing today so here you go read below and let me know what you think.
Have you ever felt frustrated with the amount of thoughts that your mind is throwing at you, especially when you’re already feeling stressed or overwhelmed? It’s like an unruly roommate that you can’t get rid of. The noise never seems to stop. This can be distracting at best. At worst, it can undermine your confidence and optimism. While it isn’t possible to stop your mental chatter completely, there is plenty that you can do to tame it. Keep these techniques in mind when you need an escape from your mental chatter:
Try using 5-4-3-2-1. When the noise in your head won’t seem to stop, try 5-4-3-2-1. This little exercise will get you out of your head and focused on your environment.
● Look around your environment and describe five things you see. For example: “I see a pair of shoes. They are made of brown leather, have a low heel, and rubber soles. They look old.” It’s easy to find five things you see, but the remainder of the exercise is a little more challenging.
● Describe four things you hear. “In the distance, I can hear car horns honking.” Really focus your attention on the noises you can hear and fully experience them.
● Describe three things you feel. It could be the cool breeze blowing over your skin, the firm chair underneath you, or the pain in your elbow.
● Describe two things you smell. You might have to really concentrate to come up with two.
● Tell yourself one thing you like about yourself. By the time you’ve finished all five parts of this exercise, your focus will be in the present instead of on the noise in your head.
Avoid engaging with your mental chatter. Your brain is going to make noise. There’s no way to stop it completely. The key is to ignore it. View the chatter in your head as nonsense and let it go.
The Next one is my Favorite my family members and clients will attest to this:
Learn to meditate. Meditation creates a lot of opportunities for dealing with mental noise, because there’s nothing to distract you from it. Learn how to meditate and spend some time each day meditating to calm youself down.
Your brain creates thoughts. That’s what it’s designed to do. But there are solutions you can employ to reduce the noise. Attempting to eliminate your internal voice is a waste of time, but you can greatly reduce the noise and avoid engaging with it.r mind.
Just because your permanent roommate decides to speak doesn’t mean you have to listen! Practice these methods to reduce or prevent an overabundance of thoughts that you don’t want.

Being Resilient Through It All June, 2021
Peace everybody, I hope all is well. I want to talk to you today about being resilient when things look like they are on a downward slope. Oftentimes when we have a setback we grapple with how to get back on track one of the things that I admire in some of the people I have met is their ability to spring back from setbacks or hardships so over the years, I have compiled notes on how to get back on track by being and staying resilient. I share some of my notes and techniques in today's blog with you. Happy Reading.
If you’re looking for a character trait to develop, it would be hard to argue against developing greater resiliency. Few people are successful at anything on their first try. Resiliency increases the odds of trying again. And again. And again, until the objective is met.
😉😉😉
The level of your success is heavily dependent on the amount of resiliency If you’re looking for a character trait to develop, it would be hard to argue against developing greater resiliency. Few people are successful at anything on their first try. Resiliency increases the odds of trying again. And again. And again, until the objective is met.
The level of your success is heavily dependent on the amount of resiliency
you possess. Any setback in life is more easily overcome if you are resilient.
Strategy Tips for being resilient and bouncing back after a setback or from any setbacks:
HOW TO MANAGE YOUR RESPONSE.
How do you respond to a setback? Do you become determined or
disheartened? Are you committed to succeeding or looking for an excuse to
quit?
● Anger is better than despair. Peacefulness and curiosity are more
useful than anger.
● Are you blaming others or taking responsibility for the setback?
● You know yourself. So, what is the most useful response for you to
have?
EXAMINE WHAT HAPPENED
AND BE BETTER FOR IT.
Learn what you can from this setback. If you learn something and apply
what you learned in the future, then this setback was useful. Ask yourself the following questions:
● Did you rely on the wrong person?
● Did you have the wrong approach?
● Did you lack the necessary skill or knowledge?
● What happened and how can you be better
TAKE A BREATH.
Take a break but avoid taking too long. Catch your breath and get moving
again. Avoid feeling pressured or frantic. It’s better to take a moment,
gather yourself, and then proceed. Any challenge you’re facing will still be
there tomorrow. It will wait for you.
You tried, you temporarily failed, you learned from it, you gave yourself a
couple of days to recover, and now it’s time to try again. Repeating this
process is as close to a guarantee of success as you can get.
● What is your new and improved plan? Why do you think this idea will
work better than the last? Be clear on why it’s an improvement.
● What can you do today? Avoid making a plan that you can’t implement any parts of for weeks into the future.
MANAGE YOUR MINDSET.
How are you doing mentally at this time? Are you desperate or determined?
Are you confident or feeling hopeless? A poor mindset suggests that you
don’t trust your plan. Ensure that you have a plan that makes you feel
confident.
REALIZE HOW STRONG
YOU ARE.
You’re not just some random being. You have come from people that faced
plagues, wars, wild animals, famines, and every other hardship you can
imagine. What you’re facing now pales in comparison. You come
from hardy stock and you can overcome, too!
GO FOR IT.
Permit yourself to be optimistic and successful. Allow yourself to
be a powerful person that perseveres and gains focus and determination
from setbacks. Put your plan into place and tell yourself you’re not going to
give up until you have the life you desire.
HOW TO AVOID QUITTING.
Keep going. You can’t fail forever. Eventually, you’ll bounce back from any
setback as long as you refuse to give up.
Some people are clearly more resilient than others. However, anyone can become
a more resilient version of themselves with effort and a little self-management.
You'll find that your success grows in proportion to your resilience. While there are
many ways you can attempt to enhance your personal growth, building your
resilience is certainly one avenue worth considering.
Thanks for reading, I hope you found this post helpful, and don't forget to drop me a line and let me know your thoughts until the next post "Keep Your Head Up and Your Eye Focused.

Putting The Power of Your Intuition to Work for YOU!!!
Hey everybody, It's Dr.J here, I hope all is well. Welcome to the PEMS blog in today's post, I will be discussing how to Put The Power of Intuition To Work For You. Let's get started!
Whether you win the lottery or lose a bet, you'll probably soon return to being as happy as you.
So listen to your feelings without getting carried away.
This brings us to the end of our post. Please share your thoughts, I'd love to hear from you. Until next time remember that"Your Thoughts Become Your Reality" vibrate positively.

Tips on How to Beat Worry and Anxiety
Peace, Hola, Ase', Hotep I hope all is well with you and your loved ones. As the month of September comes to a close we had better get ready to step into the Fall season, If you have been following me you probably know by now that Fall and Spring are my favorite seasons. I have been pondering a lot lately about the holiday season and its correlation to worry and anxiety in addition, I am being challenged by my higher power to create a prison reform program that will truly set out to heal, revive, rehabilitate and successfully assist the prison population of ex-convicts and those whom will be interacting with them upon their reentry into society. I also advocate for the reduction of recidivism (people who are committing repeat crimes) and this task is daunting in that there is a stupendously large amount of work to be done in subconscious prompters that lie within the minds of people that need to be acknowledged and overrode at the subconscious level with positive patterns or thinking patterns, unfortunately, there are not many professionals who are dedicated to this work for several reasons, i.e. it will reduce recidivism rates "As A Man/Woman Thinketh in their hearts so is he/she this statement is so true but it is spiritual truth in an occultist way don't freakout occult just means hidden/hidden knowledge another reason is that prison reform/rehabilitation programs are not being funded properly go figure. Yeah, we have prison reform programs that target reentry, education, vocation/employment, housing and those who are receiving funding say they have a behavioral component that addresses mental health but, I differ in their approaches. If you would like more statistical information on prison reform in the US go to the Department of Justice site and search the programs or read these articles and decide for yourself in the meantime read up on the subject of prison reform, recidivism, and mental and behavioral health and shoot me a note about your thoughts.
I also created a survey to gather data to use for the PEMS project to reduce recidivism I would appreciate your participation in filling out the survey and if you are interested in advocating with me to reduce recidivism please contact me at my information below. The prison reform survey can be requested by contacting me at pemsbalance@yahoo.com.
Getting back to my recent contemplation on the upcoming holiday season which starts for me next month in October although many of us do celebrate Labor Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Easter, etc. my fav time to celebrate the holidays begins on All Hallows eve oooo really, I get so much enjoyment out of seeing kiddos dress up in costumes and bring out their alter egos I think children should be reminded to do this more often for the good of their development. Ahh, and us grown folks and our masquerade balls or dances really help to bring out the other side or sides of our personalities if only for a night for instance one year I dressed up as a fairy princess with a ball gown beautiful shoes crown wand, and all and you better b3elieve that I walked like a fairy princess and the party-goers got a big thrill out of it they called me the fairy princess all night it really energized me and my mental faculties took a walk on the wild side of fantasy and make-believe or not. So, Halloween officially kicks off the holiday season for me in between all of that excitement and joy of the coming gift-giving season Thanksgiving and Christmas I sometimes get caught up in reveries which are not always pleasant, I miss loved ones who have transcended into the spirit realm, I get caught up with buying the right gift for loved ones or if I a will buy gifts at all, hey its season to be jolly and spread joy not spend all my money :) I often have to catch myself and redirect my emotions and check my mental acumen because this is also the time of the year that people experience the highest rates of worry, stress, and anxiety which is a worry to the 10th power if not more so I would like to continue in my quest to help ease the strain of the upcoming holiday anxiety worry and stress by sharing some helpful tips that I and my clients have found to be useful in eliminating worry and anxiety and thus reducing or eliminating stress. "Worry,-Anxiety,-Stress,-Holiday">Anxiety and worry detract from the level of enjoyment in your life, as well as contribute to physical and emotional challenges. Everyone deals with anxiety at times, but each person’s anxiety and worry are unique. It’s important to discover the best ways to address your unique situation.
Answer these questions to gain a better perspective of how you can defeat worry and anxiety in your life…
How do worry and anxiety affect my life? What changes can I make to my diet and exercise routine to reduce the level of stress in my body? Am I getting enough sleep? If not, how can I change my schedule to accommodate more sleep? When could I work a relaxation technique into my schedule? Which technique appeals to me the most? When could I make time for meditation? Do I feel comfortable that I know enough to try meditation? Where can I begin my new mediation practice?
In the final analysis, if you end up worrying or having an anxiety attack remember its ok and this too shall pass remind yourself that the anxiety will end and it will not cause you to harm yourself or others breathe slow and deep or eat green leafy foods or fats such as avocados or seeds accept that every intrusive thought isn't a reason to worry, do some enjoying exercise like yoga, jogging, dancing or my favorite running in place. If you or someone you know is dealing with acute anxiety, depression, or stress and find that you may need help please reach out to a qualified mental/behavioral health practitioner for assistance.
Thank you for reading with me. Until the next post there still isn't a cure for Covid, Delta Coronavirus so please wear a mask wear gloves, or simply take precautionary measures for yourself, your loved ones, and the people you are around. Kindness and Common Courtesy never hurt anyone.

Being Authentic During the Holidays
Set Yourself Free by Being Yourself
Peace and Goodwill to you and your loved ones, I hope you are taking good care of yourself and still keeping in line with the CDC guidelines for preventing the Coronavirus, Covid, and Delta virus variants as these viruses are still the world's number one enemy. Please stay home if you don't have to go out, social distance yourselves, wear a mask even if you have been vaccinated there still is no cure so if you have been vaccinated you can still catch the virus last but not least keep antibacterial sanitizers handy. The hustle and bustle and stress of the holiday season can take a toll on our minds, bodies, and spirits. I am speaking from experience believe me when I say it can take a toll on us. The shopping choosing gifts for each person, what to cook or not to cook, what to wear to company party's home party's etc. can be overwhelming. One of the main focuses during the holiday season is to remember who you are and be true to your self be AUTHENTICALLY YOU JUST DO YOU!!
Authenticity is underrated. It's more than being honest with the world. It's about being honest with yourself. There are many advantages to being authentic. Most importantly, you'll no longer feel the need to change your words and actions to impress others. You can relax and be yourself. Before you can be authentic, it's important to know yourself!
Embrace authenticity and present yourself honestly. Here are some tips to help you get started:
Give up the need to appear perfect. Excellent is good enough. But seriously, when you don't need to appear perfect, you're in the position, to be honest. No one can be perfect and honest at the same time. Avoid putting on a show for the rest of the world. You'll only feel bad about yourself later. It's okay to be less than spectacular. Be the best at being yourself. Know your values and live by them. If you know your values and live by them consistently, you're already doing well in the authentic department. Make a list of your values and determine the five that are most important to you. Are you living your life according to these values? Would it be obvious to others that you hold these values? Decide to make your decisions based upon your values. Be willing to share your values with others.
Notice when you're not being authentic. It's not easy to be authentic all the time. You might find yourself transforming based on the situation. A first date is a good example. Are you being authentic or pretending to be someone you're not? Take note of those times your authenticity starts to wane.
Know your goals. What do you want out of life? Do you know? Are you willing to let others know? By knowing your goals, you can live your life accordingly.
Make a list of your short-term and long-term goals. How well do they align with your values?
What are your defining characteristics? Describe yourself honestly. Now ask yourself if a casual acquaintance would describe you the same way? How about someone that knows you well? How about your closest friend?
How many people know you well? If there aren't many, ask yourself why. If you're living authentically, it should be easy for someone to develop an accurate opinion of you.
Life becomes easier when you're living authentically. You'll no longer feel the exhaustion that comes with constantly changing your opinions, attitudes, and personality to please others. You'll no longer feel the need to protect yourself from others. Be authentic with your thoughts, words, and actions. Invest the time in yourself and learn to be free. Authenticity becomes possible when you know what is important to you.
Thanks for reading with me it is always a pleasure and please shoot me a note about your thoughts. Thanks for your support. Peace and Love Dr. J Happy Holidays!!!

Kick Self Doubt To The Curb!!!
Release all your pent-up insecurities.
5 Ways to Turn Around Self-Doubt
Are you someone who struggles with self-doubt? Perhaps you often wonder if you've made the right decision or have only a faint hope that your next job interview, project, or even date will turn out well. The most unfortunate thing about self-doubt is that your fears often become self-fulfilling prophecies.
On the other hand, when you take action to become more confident in yourself, more things in your life automatically turn out better as well. With more self-confidence, your decision-making skills are strengthened, others are drawn to you in social situations, you produce higher quality work, and you're more able to create the life you desire.
Try these strategies to silence the inner critic inside of you and regain your confidence:
1. Stop and think. Reflect on why you're experiencing feelings of doubt. Think about the events that caused you to feel insecure. Being faced with a challenge that you don't feel you're capable of successfully completing is a major cause for self-doubt.
* Do you have a habit of putting yourself down? You may be subconsciously repeating negative thoughts that prevent you from moving forward. Such thoughts as "I can't do this" and "I'm not good enough" become reasons to opt out of new experiences that could bring you many benefits.
* The next time you have a self-doubting thought, take a few moments to think about why you believe this is true. If insecurities are getting the better of you because of past failures, you must resolve to live in the moment. Today is a new day!
* Replace your negative self-talk with positive thoughts about how you can do it and you are good enough. Make the switch each and every time you have a self-doubting thought. Soon you'll automatically be singing your praises instead of your doubts.
2. Practice self-understanding. Often, when you feel insecure about your abilities, you start berating yourself. Beating yourself up over something you feel you did wrong only leads to a cycle of frustration and procrastination. Realize that making mistakes doesn't make you a bad or incompetent person - it simply makes you human.
* Allow yourself to accept that while you're not perfect, you're certainly someone who always strives to do the very best job you can. Embrace the idea that every challenge in life is an opportunity for you to learn something new and grow as a person.
3. Make a list. Take a blank sheet of paper and make two columns. On the left side, write down all of those doubtful thoughts you're having about yourself right now. On the right side, list all of the positive facts that dispute your doubts.
* For example, suppose you've been assigned a new task at work that you've never done before, and you immediately become negative because you feel your skills aren't adequate. On the left side of the list write "I can't do this because I don't have the skills." On the right side of the page write "I was given this task because I'm a quick learner who always gets the job done."
* You'll find that you have a lot more positive facts listed than doubts. If your positive list is short, keep searching through your talents and good qualities (yes - they are there) until your positive list outweighs your negative one.
4. Write a letter. Write a letter to yourself that talks about your positive traits and how you've overcome obstacles in the past. If you can recall a specific time when you triumphed over self-doubt and accomplished something that makes you feel proud, tell this to yourself in the form of a story.
* The act of writing the letter will release all of those pent up insecurities that are spinning around inside of your mind. By the end of the letter, you should be feeling a lot better. Keep the letter in a brightly colored folder, so you can refer back to it when needed.
5. Make an appreciation folder. Keep track of those kind words of appreciation you receive from others. When you're experiencing self-doubt, it's easy to forget about all of those wonderful comments you've received for doing things that made other people's lives better in some way. Collect all of the emails, notes and cards that say kind and loving things about you.
* When you feel the voice of your inner critic welling up inside of you, simply take out your appreciation folder and read those wonderful thoughts.
Self-doubt can rob you of the opportunity to reach new heights of success in life. While it's very common to doubt yourself once in a while, you want to be able to easily let go of your inner critic when it pops up. Practicing the steps above will enable you to push through your self-doubt, boost your confidence, and clear the way for positive new experiences.
Good Luck! I hope you enjoyed this read and got some valuable tools to try for yourself or to share with others. Until next time take care of yourself and your loved ones.

How to Axe Self-Sabotaging Behavior
Self-sabotage is uniquely human behavior. Many of us sabotage ourselves when we decide we want something by doing everything we can to ensure we don’t get it. Sound familiar? Although self-sabotage is a subconscious behavior, we can get a handle on it. There are many reasons that you might sabotage yourself. It’s an extremely common behavior, rooted in a fear of the unknown. If you’ve immersed yourself in mediocrity, the idea of greatness may be frightening. Ask yourself if you’re satisfied with your life.
Find out why you may self-sabotage:
1. Control. You might self-sabotage because you have a need to be in control of your circumstances. The easiest and most certain way to stay in control is to maintain the status quo.
If you put your all into something, you run the risk of becoming vulnerable. Fear gets the best of you and your self-sabotage.
2. Low self-esteem. Do you feel unworthy of greatness?
For whatever reason, you may have decided that happiness ought to be forever beyond your reach. This is a self-limiting idea, and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.
3. Excitement. Perhaps you undermine your efforts because you’re seeking excitement. You feel the need to remain in a constant state of turmoil to distract yourself from painful memories or alleviate boredom.
If you see yourself in any of these descriptions, fear not: there are steps you can take to put yourself on the path toward self-mastery.
Consider this process for defeating your self-sabotage:
1. Observe your behavior. First off, it’s essential that you begin to observe yourself. You can effectively do this by creating a self-sabotage journal. Make a journal entry every time you realize that you’ve sabotaged yourself. Describe the setting, circumstances, and end result. Avoid over-analyzing.
Most often, a person’s true intentions are most evident in their actions, rather than their words.
Strive to be an impersonal observer in your journal. Eventually, you’ll gain a better understanding of your motives in certain situations.
2. Envision success. Keep in mind that success is neither black nor white. Cultivate the habit of envisioning what success means to you and remember how it feels to achieve it. If you do this consistently, you may find that what you envision changes over time.
Begin to see success as an integral part of your future, but realize there will still be challenges. Just like everyone else, you’ll still have to pay taxes and have relationship issues.
3. Let go of the notion of perfection. As you visualize success, are you still thinking that success equals perfection? If so, it’s time to realize that nobody is perfect.
This is what George Bernard Shaw would refer to as “doublethink.” Perfection and life are mutually exclusive because perfection is unattainable. Your subconscious won’t allow you to achieve success if you associate success with the impossible task of being perfect.
Think of your subconscious as a computer. It doesn’t know how to execute a command called “do the impossible.”
If you associate success with fear, your subconscious will fight you the entire way. Why? Because its primary function is to protect you from perceived threats.
Give yourself permission to anticipate success with excitement. Perhaps you’ve been sending your subconscious the message, “Don’t give me success!” So, let’s put your self-sabotaging behaviors in the past!
Embrace the good life you deserve by picturing yourself as successful, and then refuse to talk yourself out of going for it. The journey to your ideal life starts now!
Developing A Healthy Mindset that works for You!
Creating a Healthy Mindset
Do you feel you could use a healthier attitude toward life? Would you like to approach things in a different way? Is a healthier lifestyle attainable? The stress of modern life can sometimes make it difficult to lead a healthy lifestyle. However, you can start living healthy, today, by adopting a healthy mindset. Even if you find yourself leaning toward a pessimistic attitude, you can still achieve a healthy mindset. You just need to go about it in the right way.
How You Can Have a Healthier Mindset
Many people sit back, look at their lives, and wish they could view things in a more positive manner. Then they beat themselves up for being negative or not having the attitude and responses they wish they had. This typical response doesn’t do anybody any good.
Instead of feeling angry with yourself for responding to life the way you normally do, think positively about your desire to have a healthier mindset.
Building a Healthy and Safe Support Network
One of the most effective paths to a healthier mindset is to find ways to deal with the stress in your life. For some people, this is as simple as writing in a journal or blog every day. Other people find that talking with friends or joining a support group is a rewarding experience. It’s important to give voice to your thoughts and emotions. How you do this is up to you.
Eating Healthy = Feeling Healthy
Another way to achieve a healthier mindset is to eat the right foods and get enough rest. When you feed your body healthy, nutritious foods and get the rest you need, you feel better all over. Your attitude, as well as your body, feels refreshed.
Food and rest will not change the way you respond to things if you tend to respond negatively, but it will be a great start. You don’t have to give up all junk food and your late activities, but try swapping carrot sticks for French fries and an hour of sleep for Leno.
You’ll find that you’ll be able to acquire a healthier mindset when you take active steps to deal with your stress and treat your body with the tender loving care it deserves. Suddenly the world becomes a much more positive place when you pair these things with positive thinking.
Positive thinking begins when you affirm the positives in your life. You can use the power of positive affirmations to reprogram your mind so you can think in a healthier and more positive way.
For example, each morning you could say, "I make positive choices for the best of my body, mind, and soul." You can use positive affirmations in moments of weakness when you are tempted to fill up on junk food, respond negatively to something, or trade sleep for something less important.
When you create a healthy mindset by making good choices about food, rest, and positive thinking, you’ll enjoy the new ways you think, feel, and live. You’ll discover that your happier, healthier lifestyle has arrived!
5 Steps to an Authentic and Effective Self-Image
Your self-image is the way you view yourself. You might view yourself as a parent, construction worker, friend, blonde, sports fan, intelligent, impatient, and middle-aged. But you’re more than your career, gender, and age. You’re more than your parents’ opinion.
You’re a unique person with nuances that are unique to you!
When who you are aligns with what you do, you’re living authentically. But most of us view ourselves as one way and live another. Authentic people act honestly and congruently.
The benefits of this congruency are enormous: success, self-esteem, respect from others, and inner peace.
Those that live lives misaligned with their values, beliefs, and attitudes suffer from more anxiety, guilt, and shame. It might seem easier to live up to the expectations of others in the short-term, but the long-term costs are significant.
Follow these steps to determine your true self and live life on your terms:
1. Identify your core values. An authentic self-image is one that is aligned with your values. By knowing your values, you’ll gain an understanding of what is important to you. Once you’re aware of your values, you can build a self-image and life that are more meaningful and enjoyable.
Make a list of your values. Create a long list and include everything that you think applies to you. Then, reduce your list to the ten values that are most important to you. You might struggle to narrow your list to just ten, but ten values are plenty.
2. Determine if you have any conflicts. For example, you might say that adventure and freedom are two of your most important values, but what if you also strongly favor responsibility and security? Those values could be in conflict.
When you’re faced with an inner conflict, you’re likely to shut down and do nothing. If you’ve ever been paralyzed while making a decision, it’s possible your values were in conflict. Think back to when you’ve struggled to make a decision and see if it’s true.
Do you have any values listed that aren’t really priorities for you? We often carry around perspectives instilled by our parents. Here’s a newsflash: they may have been wrong. Take the time to determine your values for yourself. Disregard what society says you should value. You’re an individual.
3. Create an action plan for each value. Imagine one of your values is frugality. You could create a budget and savings plan that incorporates that value. You might plan to start clipping coupons, visit less expensive stores, and search for free entertainment options available on the weekends.
4. Make a list of activities you enjoy that are in alignment with your values. For example, if generosity is a priority, you could find an enjoyable way to spend your time helping others. If health is a value you cherish, you could join a soccer team or a yoga class. Find your favorite sport and participate.
5. Evaluate yourself at the end of each day. Think about the instances when you failed to live according to your values. Likewise, contemplate the times you were able to live according to your values and self-image, particularly when doing so was challenging.
Create a self-image that is in alignment with your values. First, it is necessary to identify and choose your values. Next, construct a life that allows you to live those values consistently and to thrive. Authenticity eliminates many of the common emotional ailments in life, but it’s not always the easiest choice.
Be bold enough to choose the person you want to become and live accordingly. The benefits are enormous. What are your values?
